Solution By Complementary event
1. Scope
This provides a solution of a problem of everyday life and business.
2. Theory of solving
Cause is within complementary event of sufficient conditions which are satisfactory solutions of complementary event of the problem. Because if a cause is one of the sufficient conditions which are satisfactory solutions of complementary event of the problem,it will lead you to complementary event of the problem.
3. How to use
- Write a problem to the lower right in a table.(See Table.a1)
- Write complementary event of the problem to the upper right in the table.(See Table.a2)
- Think sufficient conditions which are satisfactory solutions of complementary event of the problem. Write the solutions to the upper left in the table.(See Table.a3)
- Write complementary event of the solutions to the lower left in the table. You will realize causes in complementary event of the solutions.(See Table.a4)
- Try again the above 1-4 steps for the causes.

4. Example
Table.b1
? | -> | ? |
? | -> | The statue of Liberty is soiled by bird droppings. |
Table.b2
? | -> | The statue of Liberty is not soiled by bird droppings. |
? | -> | The statue of Liberty is soiled by bird droppings. |
Table.b3
a)There is no bird. | -> | The statue of Liberty is not soiled by bird droppings. |
? | -> | The statue of Liberty is soiled by bird droppings. |
Table.b4
a)There is no bird. | -> | The statue of Liberty is not soiled by bird droppings. |
a)There are some birds. | -> | The statue of Liberty is soiled by bird droppings. |
Table.b5
? | -> | ? |
? | -> | There are some birds. |
Table.b6
? | -> | There is no bird. |
? | -> | There are some birds. |
Table.b7
There is no food of bird and no place for nest and no place for rest. | -> | There is no bird. |
? | -> | There are some birds. |
Table.b8
There is no food of bird and no place for nest and no place for rest. | -> | There is no bird. |
a)food of bird b)place for nest c)place for rest | -> | There are some birds. |
*A result of investigation showed the cause of the problem is some insects which are around the statue of Liberty.
Table.b9
? | -> | ? |
? | -> | There are some insects. |
Table.b10
? | -> | There is no insect. |
? | -> | There are some insects. |
Table.b11
There is no food of insect and no place for nest and no place for rest and no light which the insects like. | -> | There is no insect. |
? | -> | There are some insects. |
Table.b12
There is no food of insect and no place for nest and no place for rest and no light which the insects like. | -> | There is no insect. |
a)food of insect b)place for nest c)place for rest d)light which the insects like | -> | There are some insects. |
*A result of investigation showed the cause of the problem is light which the insects like. But lights are needed to show up the statue of Liberty.
Table.b13
? | -> | ? |
? | -> | Lights draw some insects. |
Table.b14
? | -> | Lights do not draw the insects. |
? | -> | Lights draw some insects. |
Table.b15
Lights do not have strength or a wavelength which the insects like. | -> | Lights do not draw the insects. |
? | -> | Lights draw some insects. |
Table.b16
Lights do not have strength or a wavelength which the insects like. | -> | Lights do not draw the insects. |
a)strength of light which the insects like b)a wavelength which the insects like | -> | Lights draw some insects. |
*A result of investigation showed the lights have a wavelength which the insects like. The solution of the problem is use of lights which do not have the wavelength which the insects like.
